Willow Creek Reservoir

Willow Creek Reservoir is a man-made lake located in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest in southwestern Montana. The reservoir is situated about 15 miles southwest of the town of Philipsburg and was created in 1962 by the construction of an earthen dam on Willow Creek. The reservoir covers an area of about 700 acres and has a maximum depth of 140 feet. It is primarily used for fishing, boating, and camping, and is home to a variety of fish species, including rainbow and brown trout, kokanee salmon, and perch. The surrounding area also offers opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
